With a natural sense of narrative and a meticulous eye for detail, Mick is a director known for captivating visuals coupled with genuine human experiences.
Growing up on the East Coast of Australia, Mick discovered filmmaking through his love of surfing, and capturing his friends surfing and skating. Jumping at the chance to pursue a career he was passionate about, Mick went on to complete a Bachelor of Film and Screen Media and soon after was awarded at the Australian Cinematographers Society. In 2017, Mick was nominated at the Australian Directors’ Guild for his work on the music video for Marcus Blacke; ‘Umbrella Brain’.
These key moments early in his career, have helped to affirm his passion for filmmaking and his commitment to the craft. Mick’s versatility as a director has proven essential in his work across commercials, drama and music videos.
